The Experience, Credentials, and Knowledge to Serve You
At Rhodes & Associates, we are committed to offering our clients impeccable service, objective advice, open communication, and ongoing education. Working with Gary Rhodes, we believe you can benefit from the following:
With more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, we use our vast knowledge and learned wisdom to help you avoid the common mistakes people make and help you navigate the complexities of financial and retirement planning.
As part of an independent firm, we have access to solutions from more than 50 companies without being tied to one specific product. With in depth knowledge of the many solutions available on the market today, we can make objective recommendations based on your unique needs and individual situation.
We don’t just work with you; we collaborate and coordinate strategies with your other trusted professionals, including CPAs, attorneys, and trustees. By doing so, we believe we can help ensure your financial plan aligns with your tax and legal affairs.
Gary holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Not all financial planners are certified. In fact, only a select group of planners have fulfilled the rigorous requirements necessary to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
A CFP® certification means a financial advisor has met rigorous professional standards and has agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when working with clients. The process to obtain the certification includes demonstrating key standards that are known as the “four E’s:” education, examination, experience, and ethical requirements.
To receive the CFP® certification, an advisor must have a minimum of three years experience in the financial planning process and must develop their financial planning education by completing a comprehensive course of study. The topics covered include:
- General Principles of Financial Planning
- Insurance Planning
- Investment Planning
- Income Tax Planning
- Retirement Planning
- Estate Planning
- Interpersonal Communication
- Professional Conduct and Fiduciary Responsibility
Once certified, CFP® professionals are held to the highest of standards in terms of ethics and responsibility. All practitioners must abide by a strict code of professional conduct and ethical responsibilities. Additionally, they must complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years to stay current with financial planning developments and best practices.
Our goal is to provide clients confidence in their financial future and feel secure as they transition into and live in retirement. With decades of experience, advanced credentials, and a wide array of resources, we aim to always go and above and beyond for each and every client.
